How to Buy a VanHomes Granny Flat

What goes into building a VanHome? Will the VanHome be installed anywhere you like? How long will it take to install? Can I live in it as soon as it’s installed?

There are a lot of questions gnawing at the back of your mind.

We’re here to answer all of them.

How to Buy a VanHome?

When you're buying a VanHome; you want to know the ins and outs, right from purchase through to delivery.

With a product as unique as this, it's natural to have quite a few questions about the general buying process. This article will give you the full rundown on what you can expect when purchasing a VanHome.

Once you’ve decided to buy a VanHome, you most likely will be in touch with our sales team.

Our Friendly Sales Team

After you’ve made your choice, signed the purchase agreement and floor plan, and paid the 20% deposit to secure your purchase, we secure your place in our production schedule.

Design and planning

From here, our design team gets to work, drawing up 3D models to suit your specifications before turning these into working drawings for our production teams to use.

Soon after, the procurement process begins, our teams source the highest quality Australian steel, residential grade glass, slip-resistant, hard-wearing vinyl flooring and any other material you’ve chosen.

Building your VanHome

After the plans are drawn and the materials have been sourced, our welding department begins crafting the chassis and framework of your VanHome. Our qualified boilermakers work with millimetre perfect precision and are assessed for quality before any items move on to the next department.

While the welding department is hard at work, the preparation department is sourcing and preparing certain materials that help speed up the manufacturing process.

Next in line is the assembly department. This department does exactly what you’d expect. They put together pieces of the puzzle - that is, your VanHome.

Final QA and Roadworthy certification

After a final quality assurance check, your VanHome is packed and we go get the roadworthy certificate.

It's important a caravan receives its roadworthy certificate as this is needed for the VanHome to be considered a caravan and not just a building-on-wheels.

Ready to be installed

Once the final balance is paid, our delivery team will tow your VanHome to your property and place it where you request. They will then install it over the course of a day.

Installation and connecting services

Your VanHome is now ready to be connected to power (through a 15A power outlet) and water (through a garden hose). Your licensed plumber can then connect your VanHome to the onsite waste system.

And that’s it. You’re ready to walk into your own VanHome.
