Australian Reptile Park 

If you're a fan of reptiles, you can't visit Somersby without dropping in to see the Australia Reptile Park. Here, you can meet some deadly reptiles, including the Common Death Adder, the American Alligator, and the Gila Monster (to name a few). 

However, the park isn't only home to reptiles. The Australian Reptile Park is home to over 2000 animals, and you can have a hands-on experience with koalas, kangaroos, quokkas, and dingoes. 


Brisbane Water National Park - Somersby Falls  

Any trip to Somersby isn't complete without visiting the Somersby Falls. The area is perfect for a relaxing getaway, you can picnic in the middle of a beautiful rainforest as the waterfall crashes into the nearby river. 

In addition to the waterfall and picnic area, you can also explore the rainforest by walking along the designated walking tracks. 

 

Strickland State Forest 

The Strickland State Forest is one of the most diverse forest habitats in Australia. Despite being only five square kilometres, Strickland State Forest boasts a mind-blowing ecosystem. The forest is home to 350 plant, 98 birds, 29 reptiles, 27 mammals, 20 amphibians, and 4 fish species. 

In addition to its vast array of wildlife, Strickland State Forest also possesses some of the most idyllic walking tracks in Australia. As a result, the Strickland Forest has been inducted into the Hunter Central Coast Tourism Awards several times! 


The Chocolate Factory 

If there's one thing kids love, it's chocolate. The Chocolate Factory is home to some of Australia's most iconic confectionery brands, with Nougat Limar, Bon Bon Fine Chocolates, and the Sydney Marshmallow Co. all produced right here. 

Explore the chocolate factory, see how your favourite sweet treats are made and try out some tasters along the way!
